Attorney Brings Lawsuit Against The NFL

An attorney is suing the NFL for a missed call during the Saints game against the Rams. The lawsuit claims that if the referees called the penalty, then the Saints wouldn’t have lost the game. The Saints lost the NFC championship game 26-35. New Orelans attorney Frank D’Amico Jr. filed the lawsuit after Saints fans approached him following the game.

D’Amico claimed that the NFL commissioner has the power to turn back the timeclock to the point where they missed the call and replay the last minutes of the game. The missed call was a pass interference as well as a helmet to helmet hit near the goal line.

Arizona Man Brags About Shooting

An Arizona man who shot a county official in ’97 bragged about it during a hearing concerning renovations to Talking Stick Arena. He originally served 12 years after shooting the official after she voted in favor of a tax. The tax was to help raise money for the construction of Chase Field. Then, he showed up to the recent hearing to raise funds for Talking Stick Arena

“On Aug. 13, 1997, I walked into the Maricopa County Board auditorium and shot Mary Rose Wilcox,” he said. “If you go ahead and pass it, you’re crossing a line that’s equivalent to an act of violence against the public.” He then stated that he didn’t intend to kill the official. However, the vote to increase funding for the arena passed, 6-2.
