YouTuber Jared Knabenbauer Accused Of Soliciting Underage Fans

Popular YouTube video game player Jared Knabenbauer (ProJared) was accused of soliciting nude pictures from underage fans. Senator Introduces Anti “Loot Box” Bill

You’ve all seen them. The games you download to your phone have multiple extra purchases you can buy to give an edge over the competition. However, a new bill introduced by Missouri Senator Josh Hawley seeks to get rid of them. “Social media and video games prey on user addiction, siphoning our kids’ attention from the real world and extracting profits from fostering compulsive habits,” Hawley said on his website. “No matter this business model’s advantages to the tech industry, one thing is clear: there is no excuse for exploiting children through such practices.”

The bill seeks to ban loot boxes from any video game that targets children under 18. As an example, Hawley brought up hit mobile game Candy Crush. One such purchase is $149.99 bundle which includes in-game currency, boosters to reduce the difficulty, and 24 hours of unlimited lives.
