Netflix Cancels Fuller House After Five Seasons

Streaming service Netflix announced that the next season of Fuller House would be its last. The show, which is a reboot of the hit 90s sitcom Full House, lasted 5 seasons. As one of the only Netflix shows to hit 5 seasons, it comes as no surprise that they cancelled the show. While its predecessor lasted 8 seasons, Fuller House had an almost 50% viewer dropoff between the first and second seasons.

In addition, while the dropoff wasn’t as big, 10% more viewers left the show between the third and fourth seasons. Netflix didn’t respond for comment. Fuller House starred returning cast members from the original series, and follows the same basic plotline. It also had the biggest single day viewers the day Netflix released it. Every season after that paled in comparison.

Hardy’s publicist said that he “retained to the end the principles that guided his life; trying to make the world more humane, and to be wonderfully funny. He will be enormously missed by so many, who were inspired by him and who laughed with him.”

‘Gone With the Wind’ Returns To Theaters For 80th Anniversary

“Gone With the Wind,” one of Hollywood’s most beloved films of all time, will return to big screens for its 80th anniversary. The 1939 film is based on the novel of the same name and follows the story of Scarlett O’Hara. The film has a large fanbase, and many of them can recite the film from memory.

However, many deride the film for being racially insensitive. They cite the depiction of slaves as cartoony and buffoonish. More still object to the seemingly favorable view of the Confederacy. Still, people say that pulling the film would be as racially insensitive.
