CNN Anchor Criticized For SS Comments

After making comments on second lady Karen Pence and her Secret Service protection, CNN anchor John King recieved many criticisms about them. While leading his “Inside Politics” panel, he referenced Pence’s job at an anti-LGBTQ Virginian school. He said,” Does it matter that all taxpayers pay for housing? All taxpayers pay for her Secret Service protection? It’s not her fault that she needs protection, this is the world we live in. But all taxpayers pay for, subsidize her life.” He then finished, asking, “Does it matter?”

Quickly after the comments were made, social media circulated them, reminding Hunt that taxpayers fund many other groups, such as Planned Parenthood. Many of them also took the statement as an anti-Christian sentiment, saying that King was discriminating against Pence for being a Christian.
