Avengers: Endgame Topples Avatar

Avengers: Endgame finally did it. After almost 10 years, James Cameron’s global hit Avatar has passed on the title of the highest-grossing film. This last weekend, the superhero film passed the $2.789Bn needed to claim the crown. However, James Cameron isn’t too upset about it.

“I see you,” he tweeted, adding a picture of Iron Man surrounded by Pandoran wood sprites. “Congratulations to Avengers: Endgame on becoming the new box-office king”. Endgame, originally released in April, is the culmination of 22 films and 10 years. Following the film’s victory, directors Anthony and Joe Russo returned the favor, tweeting, “You’re a monumental reason why we fell in love with film in the first place. Thank you for always inspiring us and opening the world’s eyes to what’s possible. We can’t wait to see where you take us next.”

B.B. Kings Legendary Guitar Lucille Goes To Auction

B.B. King’s legendary guitar was recently put up to the auction. Her name was Lucille, and gave music to the legendary “King of the Blues”. Also being auctioned are his touring van, clothing, jewelry, and the National Medal of the Arts George H.W. Bush gave him in 1990.

The guitar is worth somewhere from $80,000 to $100,000. Lucille earned her name after King rescued her from a restaurant fire started by two men brawling over a woman. After learning her name was Lucille, he named his guitar that to remember “to never fight over a woman or run into a burning building”.

Cats Falls, Well, Flat.

The new Cats movie trailer released last Thursday. However, the star-filled flick’s trailer received less than enthusiastic reviews. The film placed the actor’s faces on top of computer-generated fur, as they all dance around a set that’s larger than life. Unfortunately, people didn’t receive it very well. Almost as soon as the trailer released, people took to Twitter to voice their concerns.

“I don’t know what I expected from CATS’ “digital fur technology” but the short answer is NOT this. My brain has melted. My eyes are bleeding. There is no god,” one user wrote. CATS officially releases in December.

‘Will & Grace’ Reboot Ends With Third Season

Will & Grace is ending… again. The revival of the hit show started only two years ago but is ending with the upcoming 2020 season. “We think of the Will and Grace reboot episodes the way Karen Walker thinks of martinis – 51 is not enough, 53 is too many. That is why, after consulting with the cast, we all have decided this will be the final season of Will and Grace,” said creators Mutchnick, Kohan and exec producer/director Burrows in a statement.

Possible ‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel Finishes Filming First Episode

The first episode of a possible Game of Thrones sequel has finished filming in Belfast. Currently, HBO executives have to review the episode, but the head of programming Casey Bloys is really impressed with what he sees. “It looks really good. The cast was amazing,” Bloys said.
