Top 5 Action Anime :

Action anime is hard to define, but if a show has car chases, epic battles and lots of explosions, then it probably fits the genre’s description. Good action anime is probably the most sought after type of anime considering the majority of its audience. At least in western cultures, action and adventure has more of an influence rather than moe or romance (although there is a large market for almost every thing out there). When I say action, I mean ACTION! That’s “ACTION” with an exclamation mark! Well okay, I just said that to overemphasize and overact things, because that’s what Action Anime are all about! Countdown lists are all the rage these days, and I’ve made quite a few myself, using both my own personal blog and Listicle. Here are top 5 action anime for you guys. Enjoy..

5. Bleach

action anime Bleach

Bleach is a Japanese anime series based on Tite Kubo’s manga of the same name. Bleach follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki after he obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper (Shinigami, literally, “Death God”)—a death personification similar to the Grim Reaper—from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki. His newfound powers force him to take on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife. The anime adaptation includes original storylines not found in the manga; including repeated appearances and stories containing these original characters. Studio Pierrot produced the series from 2004 to 2012, consisting of 366 episodes. Viz Media obtained foreign television and home video distribution rights to the Bleach anime on March 15, 2006. Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim began airing Bleach in the United States on September 9, 2006. The series international release extends through dozens of countries in several languages, such as Spanish, French, German, Portuguese and Tagalog.

4. FullMetal Alchemist

Fullmetal Alchemist is a Japanese anime, based on manga series written and illustrated by Hiromu Arakawa. The original FMA’s run is definitely one of my favorite animes of all time, an anime with expert writing, great characters and awesome action. The plot manages to balance serious moments with funny gags, always keeping the characters in-tact no matter the situation. It’s a heartwarming story with a deep level of mystery that carries you through its 50 episode run, worth every single minute and it ranks 4th in our action anime list.

3. Hunter x Hunter

Hunter × Hunter is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. It has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since March 3, 1998, although the manga has frequently gone on hiatus since 2006. As of December 2012, 340 chapters have been collected into 32 tankobon volumes by Shueisha. In 1999, Hunter × Hunter was adapted into a 62-episode anime television series produced by Nippon Animation and directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi. The show premiered on Japan’s Fuji TV and ran until 2001. Three separate original video animations (OVAs) totaling 30 episodes were subsequently produced by Nippon Animation and released in Japan from 2002 to 2004. A second anime television series by Madhouse aired on Nippon Television from October 2011 to September 2014, with two animated theatrical films released in 2013.

It’s one of the best anime out there in terms of plot, action, and probably everything. Taking hint from that, one shouldn’t underestimate the action in this anime and there is no doubt that Hunter x Hunter deserves the 3rd spot on our action anime list.

Dragon Ball Z (commonly abbreviated as DBZ) is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation. Dragon Ball Z is the sequel to the Dragon Ball anime and adapts the last 325 chapters of the original 519-chapter Dragon Ball manga series created by Akira Toriyama. IT’s a great anime with great plot and characters. I love the action, the music and the fight scenes they’re all awesome. The characters are good they’re all cool. It was made 24 years ago and it has not aged a bit. Even today, there are video games and forums and fansites on the series.
