Ben Affleck Explains Why He Left ‘Batman’

After he announced that he is hanging up Batman’s cape and cowl, Ben Affleck appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about why he left. Reports he plans to hand of the famous character to a younger actor. People also speculate that the 2021 movie will focus on a younger Batman.

“I tried to direct a version of [Batman], [I] worked with a really good screenwriter, but kinda just couldn’t come up with a version. Couldn’t crack it. I thought it was time for someone else to take a shot at it. And they’ve got some really good people,” Affleck told the host. Later, Kimmel’s assistant came on stage dressed as Robin in order to hang Affleck’s costume in the studios rafters as a tribute.

Nintendo Direct Announcements

Nintendo’s February 2019 Direct wrapped recently, and it delivered much more than fans expected. Things such as a much expected new Fire Emblem game and new DLC for Smash Brothers Ultimate didn’t surprise anyone. In addition, Nintendo s announced a slate of new games, like Super Mario Maker 2 and a Zelda remake.

In addition, Nintendo make the surprise announcement of Tetris 99, a Tetris-style take on the battle royale fad. Players battle each other to be the last one standing by playing Tetris and messing with other players boards. Aside from Tetris, Switch users will get the Final Fantasy VII and IX remakes later this month.

Miranda Lambert Makes Scene At Restaurant

Country singer Miranda Lambert caused a scene in a Stoney River Steakhouse in a newly releases 911 call. Customers report that Lambert was flipping dishes upside down into customers laps. “I have two guests about to get into a fistfight…Miranda Lambert…She just ran out the door and got into it with another couple right here…I’m sorry my manager just said call 911,” someone in the 911 call said.

Lambert didn’t immediately reply to a request to comment. Released video suggest that the customer that Lambert attacked started yelling at her friend before the altercation occurred. Reports say that the friend made a crass comment about millennials and cellphones in the restroom.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Hint At Engagement

Katy Perry and her boyfriend Orlando Bloom hinted at an engagement when they posted a picture of Perry wearing a large diamond-encrusted ring. The two began dating in 2016, split for a time, before getting back together. The photo appeared on Instagram after Valentine’s Day. It showed part of their faces and Perry wearing a flower-shaped ring, of small diamond ‘petals’ around a crimson stone.

Prince Philip Won’t Be Prosecuted

Police wont prosecute Prince Philip after a car accident that injured two and totaled his car. After police gave him a warning for driving without a seatbelt and he voluntarily gave up his license a month ago, people debated over whether or not the elderly prince should still be driving.

“We took into account all the circumstances in this case, including the level of culpability, the age of the driver and the surrender of the driving license,” the Crown Prosecution Service said. “We have decided that it would not be in the public interest to prosecute.”
